Why go
Afternoon tea in Tiffany blue, served on the fourth floor of Tiffany Ginza in Tokyo, is what Blue Box Café was built to do. It opened on 8 August 2025 as Japan's first Blue Box Café, with the brand world Tiffany's and the food identity chef Natsuko Shoji's.
Three formats from Natsuko Shoji
Shoji built the menu as three fixed formats rather than a long list: Breakfast at Tiffany's, Tiffany Afternoon Tea and All-Day Dining. The breakfast set is the fullest of them, running through seasonal or green fresh juice, an in-season salad, homemade granola with vanilla yogurt, croissant brioche, salmon, prosciutto, mortadella, scrambled eggs, coffee or tea, and smoked butter with seasonal jam. Holly's Favorite is the lighter version of the same idea, dropping the cured meats and eggs.
Afternoon tea is the visual signature and the widest sweep of Shoji's cooking. Named plates across the formats include a fruit tart, peach tart, peach millefeuille, strawberry sorbet, cucumber sandwiches, wagyu tartare, dashi-flavoured scrambled eggs, lobster pie, potato millefeuille and beef tartare. Blue Box Blend Tea is the house pour, Natsuko's Anniversary Cake is the occasion plate, and the Blue Box Cake is made for takeaway rather than the table.
A Tiffany blue room above Ginza
The visit reads as composed dining inside a jewellery store rather than a coffee stop. The interior is worked in Tiffany blue throughout, with a ceiling art installation and open sightlines over the Ginza streets, plus a bar, a private room and an outdoor terrace facing the same view.
Shoji's presence is the other half of it. The kitchen's language keeps returning to the meeting of East and West, Japanese producers, and jewel-like plating that answers the room, so the cooking is styled to be looked at as much as eaten. Anniversary and gift formats are built into the menu rather than added on request.
Start with the afternoon tea
Tiffany Afternoon Tea is the broadest first order, gathering the fruit tart, the macarons keyed to Tiffany blue, vanilla cheesecake and the jewel-like savouries in one sitting. Pair it with Blue Box Blend Tea, the tea the house named for itself.
For a morning visit, Breakfast at Tiffany's is the fullest set on the card. For savoury cooking, wagyu tartare, cucumber sandwiches, dashi-flavoured scrambled eggs, lobster pie and potato millefeuille are the clearest choices. For sweets, the fruit tart, peach tart, peach millefeuille and strawberry sorbet sit in front, and the Blue Box Cake leaves with you.
