Why go

Kyoto-style cold brew dripping behind glass, a roaster running in the same room, and a queue that forms before the Wynwood galleries open. Panther Coffee's Wynwood flagship opened in 2010 and still houses the Panther Coffee Lab and Roastery, with the public espresso bar sitting beside the working roasting operation that supplies the rest of Miami.

Small-batch roasting, light to medium

The roasting team works with coffees from Ethiopia, Colombia, Brazil, Guatemala and Costa Rica, on light-to-medium profiles that keep acidity, sweetness and origin character rather than pushing everything toward dark and charred. Small batches and close control of temperature, time and airflow are the method.

The bar menu follows from it: espresso, latte, cappuccino, cortado and flat white, usually built on the house Panther Blend, which runs chocolatey with brighter fruit behind it. A seasonal single-origin espresso rotates through, and brewed coffee comes as V60, Chemex or AeroPress for a cleaner, more tea-like read on a single origin.

A roastery you can see into

The Wynwood room is both neighbourhood café and the operational heart of the company. Glass partitions put the roastery in view, so the machinery is part of the space rather than hidden in back, and the design matches the district: exposed brick, polished concrete, big windows, communal tables, window benches and a sidewalk patio.

It also works as a hub. Panther has run tastings, roasting demos, brewing workshops, cupping sessions and collaborations with local artists. Service is counter-style from a central bar. Mornings and midday are busiest, while afternoons are the calmer window for laptop work or a long conversation. The shop was placed at number 30 on The World's 100 Best Coffee Shops in 2025 and appears in the Eater coffee guide.

Order the cold brew, then look at the case

Start with the cold brew. Panther's slow-drip, Kyoto-style method steeps for 12 to 18 hours and produces a low-acidity concentrate with a smooth texture, and nitro cold brew is on tap for a creamier, more effervescent version of the same idea.

For milk drinks, the honey latte and the oat milk latte are the ones to ask about, with cappuccino, cortado and flat white covering the classics. Matcha is served too, including ceremonial-grade Japanese matcha from Uji, hot or cold. Then check the case: plain, almond and chocolate croissants; blueberry, lemon and chocolate chip scones; banana, pumpkin and double chocolate muffins; and oatmeal, peanut butter and macadamia cookies.
