Hardware Coffee Co.'s West Portal cafe occupies the former Papenhausen Hardware storefront and keeps the neighborhood-service idea alive in a new form. Coffee remains the focus, joined by matcha, daytime food, beer and wine, a full-service florist, and private or community events across the large two-story space.
