Cooper Coffee & Wine is the all-day café and wine bar inside The Cooper, a waterfront hotel in downtown Charleston from Beemok Hospitality Collection, led by Ben Navarro, which opened in spring 2026. It works as the marina-side counterpart to the property's other rooms, The Crossing, CurrentBurger and Bar Marti, and it is the most casual of them: a café and boulangerie by day, a wine bar by night.

The hour sets the room

Daytime brings the café side forward, with coffee and pastries suited to a quick stop before walking into downtown Charleston or moving through the hotel's waterfront spaces. Evening shifts the emphasis to wine and charcuterie, which makes the room a more relaxed harbour-side option than the rooftop energy of Bar Marti or the structure of The Crossing. The setting carries a lot of it: The Cooper is Charleston's first luxury waterfront hotel, with 191 rooms, a private marina, an infinity pool, a spa and several dining rooms. Meyer Davis handled the interiors across the property, with Lowcountry references, murals and stone accents shaping the atmosphere. Cooper Coffee & Wine fits into that as an approachable marina-adjacent hangout, closer to a daily ritual than to a formal dinner.

What to put on the table

The table follows the two-part identity. Earlier in the day the order is artisanal coffee and pastry, the café and boulangerie half of the operation. In the evening it is wine with charcuterie, the pairing the venue is built around. Within the hotel, The Crossing carries the more ambitious seafood and wine-pairing story, CurrentBurger handles a casual take-out window nearby, and Cooper Coffee & Wine gives the property a flexible place for caffeine, pastry, wine and grazing by the water. For anyone staying at the hotel it is the room to use twice in a day, which is unusual for a marina café. The appeal is the sequence rather than one famous dish: morning café, afternoon pause, evening wine bar, all on Charleston's waterfront, with the marina doing as much work as the menu.
