Revo Café is the coffee house at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, and coffee is the centre of it. Arabic coffee is served the traditional way, poured from a dallah, and it is the order that separates the room from a standard resort espresso counter.

Around it sits an all-day breakfast, lighter dishes through the middle of the day, and a pastry selection, with a cafe-bar range that stretches to a Breakfast Pulled Beef Benedict, a margherita pizza and salads. It is a cafe with a kitchen behind it rather than a roastery-led coffee bar, and the menu is built to hold a table for an hour rather than to move a queue. Pastries are part of the counter too, and the cooking leans fresh and light rather than heavy, which is the right register for a room that runs from breakfast into the evening.

The setting does a great deal of the work. The cafe sits on the Palm Jumeirah waterfront inside the Anantara resort, with indoor, outdoor and waterfront seating and Gulf views from the terrace. Service is at the table, and the mood is casual and social: guests linger over lunch, take the lighter end of the menu, and treat the room as a pause in the day rather than an occasion.

The room takes both resort guests and visitors arriving from elsewhere on the Palm. Shisha is part of the offer too, which gives the cafe a lounge layer beyond coffee and pastry and pushes the later part of the day toward sitting rather than passing through.

How to plan a visit

Come for the all-day breakfast if the visit is early, and order Arabic coffee alongside it for the presentation as much as for the cup. Later, the lighter dishes and the salads suit the heat better than a full lunch, and the Benedict or the pizza is there when the appetite is bigger.

Take the waterfront seating if it is free, since the Gulf outlook is the reason most people stay longer than a single coffee.
