Rebelbean Vlněna is where the Brno roastery pours its own coffee, so the espresso and the single-origin filters come from the same operation that fills the bags on the shelf. The roastery's range gives the bar its depth, running from Ethiopia Kayon Mountain and Peru Uchubamba to Papua New Guinea Kindeng Mill, the My Daily Mix and Underdog blends, and a decaf from Uganda. The drinks go past espresso into cascara, a lemonade the house calls Slupka, and matcha. Food is not an afterthought either: breakfast and all-day brunch, vegetarian and vegan plates, and cakes including vegan ones. The 2025 European Coffee Trip awards picked the café out, and the roastery's own name for what it does, rebellion in the waves of business, is a fair description of a specialty bar sitting in an office park.

A spacious industrial room that works for most things

The café sits inside the Vlněna business park, a former textile complex near the main station side of Brno, and the fit-out leans into that history with wood, metal and raw industrial surfaces. It is spacious rather than a takeaway hatch, with a terrace and enough room for very different visits: a meeting, a first date, an hour of writing, or five quiet minutes with a child. Wi-Fi and sockets at the tables make the working use official rather than merely tolerated. There is a children's corner, dogs are welcome, and the room is air-conditioned and accessible, which is a lot of practical hospitality for a café attached to a roastery. Little of it is announced; it is simply there when you need it.

Order the filter, then stay for brunch

Start with a single-origin filter or an espresso, since the roastery link is the reason the coffee is worth the trip and both formats show it plainly. Then build the visit around brunch, which runs all day: vegetarian and vegan plates, cakes, and local soft drinks including the house lemonade. If you want the non-coffee route, cascara and matcha are the two to try, and the vegan cake is a real option rather than a token. The pattern most regulars fall into is simple: filter first, food second, then a bag of beans on the way out, chosen from whatever the roastery has just finished. The staff are used to being asked what has changed since the last visit.
