The scale is the useful detail. Seven stone villas sit across a private hillside among olive trees, lavender and thyme, so the roof feels closer to a terrace in a small Cycladic retreat than to a bar in town. The fishing village of Skinopi lies below rather than a busy pavement beside the table.

Come for the hour, not the menu

Order simply and let the seat do the work: something cold while the afternoon still carries heat, something slower once the light starts to drop over the water. Sunset is the hour the property is built around, and the terrace is where it lands.

The land gives one clue about the wider kitchen here, since the olive trees and the garden vegetables both feed it. Come when the day has begun to cool, take the drink that keeps you in the chair, and let the bay change colour in front of you.
