Why go
PEPE, V60 and a counter that sells the gear
The house coffee is PEPE, a 100% Arabica blend drawn from Brazil, Guatemala and Ethiopia and roasted by Wildkaffee, whose direct-trade buying rests on relationships with growers the roastery knows personally. In the cup it runs to dark chocolate and cocoa with a soft floral peach edge. Wildkaffee is the main partner, with the Vienna roastery Süssmund supplying filter roasts and Meron Coffee adding a third line built on transparency and long farmer relationships. Orders go well past a standard cappuccino: espresso, flat white, Americano, cappuccino with oat milk, espresso tonic, dirty chai, pour-over, filter and V60, plus matcha latte in dairy and vegan versions. The head barista also runs coffee tastings, latte art sessions and one-to-one barista training, which is the part of the programme that makes the shop a learning space rather than a stop.
Sweets built for the coffee
The food is pastry-led and pitched squarely at the coffee. Vegan carrot cake, banana bread, homemade hazelnut cake, hazelnut brownies, cheesecake and a double chocolate cookie make up most of the case, with vegan bakes given equal billing rather than treated as an accommodation. The pairing logic is simple: banana bread with a cappuccino or flat white, hazelnut brownie with espresso, vegan carrot cake with a filter coffee, cheesecake with a cleaner V60. Plant milks sit on the bar as a matter of course, so most of the case can be matched to a dairy-free drink rather than handled as an exception. Expect a compact sweets counter rather than a brunch kitchen, and expect it to sell through.
A concept store to browse as well as drink in
This was Vienna’s first coffee concept store, opened in summer 2022 in the 1st district near Schwedenplatz, and the retail half is not an afterthought. Beans, espresso machines, grinders, brewing equipment, cups, ceramics, paper goods, small labels and gifts fill the shelves, so a visit can mean drinking a V60 while working out which grinder to buy. The room is stylish and calm, designed for lingering, with knowledgeable baristas who will talk through what is on the bar without turning it into a lecture. There is outdoor seating, and dogs are welcome. The house line, “make happiness a priority,” suits the way the place gets used: a coffee, a slice of cake, a slow browse, and a conversation at the counter about what to brew at home.

Can I buy coffee gear or take a workshop here?
Yes. The retail half of the shop carries beans, espresso machines, grinders, brewing equipment, cups, ceramics and gifts, so a visit can double as a browse.
