Why go

House roasts on espresso, single origins in rotation

The backbone is three house coffees. Church Street is the smooth, chocolatey espresso blend; Meridian is nutty and sweet and works on filter as well as under pressure; Tranquil Vale is the rich decaf, named for the Blackheath street. Around those, the roastery keeps a rotating single-origin range that has drawn on Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Rwanda, Kenya, China, Honduras, Ethiopia and Peru, so the filter offer moves through the year while the espresso stays recognizable. Recent lots give the flavor of it: a Jose Luis Cargua from Ecuador, anaerobically washed, with molasses, pecan and dried papaya; the Brazilian side of Church Street with chocolate and cherry; Meridian from Rwanda with black tea, pecan, green apple and honeydew. 15grams took the European Coffee Trip country winner title in 2025.

Two branches, two different visits

Plan around the branch. Both shops sit in South East London. Greenwich is the coffee-focused room, a daytime specialty stop and the closest thing the roastery has to a shop window. Blackheath carries the same coffee but keeps going into the evening with wine, cocktails and food, which makes it the branch to choose when the visit is meant to be more than a cup. The roasting side runs underneath both: retail beans, wholesale and subscriptions built either on the staples or on seasonal single origins, whole bean or ground to a chosen size. That structure explains the place better than any room description. It is a roaster with shops rather than a shop that happens to roast.

What to drink

Order Church Street as espresso first, since it is the clearest statement of the house style, chocolatey and smooth and built to hold up in milk. Take Meridian as filter, where the nutty sweetness and the Rwandan lot's black tea and green apple have room to show. If a rotating single origin is on brew, that is the more interesting order, particularly when the lot is a processed one like the anaerobically washed Ecuadorian. Tranquil Vale is a decaf worth ordering rather than settling for, rich and chocolatey. At Blackheath in the evening the coffee still holds its own next to the wine and cocktails, which is a fair test of any roastery's range, and a bag from the shelf is the easy way to carry the visit home.

Frequently asked questions

What should you drink at 15grams?

Order Church Street as espresso, the house blend and the clearest statement of the roastery's style, smooth and chocolatey and built for milk. Meridian is the filter to take, nutty and sweet, and a rotating single origin is the more interesting choice when one is on brew. Tranquil Vale is the decaf.

What is the difference between the Greenwich and Blackheath shops?

Greenwich is the coffee-focused room, a daytime specialty stop closest to the roastery's own identity. Blackheath serves the same coffee but continues into the evening with food, cocktails and a curated wine list, so it is the branch to pick when the visit is meant to be more than a cup of coffee.
