The coffee is 100% Vietnamese, grown and roasted in Vietnam rather than bought from a roaster in the United States, and the brewing follows it: the phin, the metal Vietnamese drip filter that takes its time and delivers a concentrated cup. A faster presto-based method sits alongside it to keep service moving without losing the strong profile, and standard espresso machines handle the blended drinks. The first American room for a Vietnamese giant

This Westminster café opened in September 2023 as the first outpost in the United States for Trung Nguyên Legend, a company that runs more than 110 stores in Vietnam, four roasting factories and distribution to more than 60 countries. Landing it in Little Saigon put Vietnam's best-known coffee brand inside Orange County's largest Vietnamese-American community, which matters as much to regulars who grew up with the name as to anyone meeting it for the first time. The room runs to 1,300 square feet, with warm wood, minimalist decor, accent lighting and a bright preparation area that keeps the brewing visible. Seating mixes small tables with larger communal ones, so it works for a quick stop and a long sit alike.

Order the egg coffee

Start with the egg coffee, which puts the café's identity up front and suits the concentrated house style. Vietnamese coffee is the other essential, particularly for anyone who wants to see the phin tradition the whole programme is built on. Both make more sense here than treating the counter as a general espresso bar. Food is deliberately light, closer to a coffee-focused bakery than a restaurant, with Vietnamese-inspired items chosen because they pair with the drinks and can be made quickly. Queue, order at the counter, then find a table. That narrow focus is the appeal, and it is what makes the room a clean introduction to Vietnamese coffee culture.
