TASTE MAP COFFEE ROASTERS

Why go

House-roasted single origins and a sensory room

The single-origin list is the reason to treat this as a destination rather than a stop: El Salvador, Brazil, Ethiopia, Kenya, Colombia, Guatemala, Rwanda, Tanzania, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru and Mexico, all roasted by the house. The descriptions run fruit-forward and clarity-focused, with passion fruit, honey, cocoa, black tea, dried fruit, dark chocolate, walnuts, plums, citrus, ripe pineapple, red grapes, jasmine, sweet spices, blackcurrants, grapefruit, berries and stone fruit. Processing turns up in the range too, including Pacas Honey, carbonic maceration and a Nitrogen Opal LOT5. TASTE MAP COFFEE ROASTERS was founded in 2012 by two competition baristas and began as a wholesale roastery in Vilnius before the cafés followed, and the flagship café-roastery has anchored the city's coffee scene since 2015. Beans are sold in 250g and 1,000g bags.

A counter that teaches

The house line, that coffee is a fruit and so is knowledge, gives the place an educational streak that shows in how it runs. Service covers espresso and manual brew, with competition precision translated into everyday café work: the team holds Lithuanian Barista, Latte Art and Cup Tasters titles and has reached World Coffee Championship stages. At the flagship, the Taste Map Sensory Room adds an interactive layer, with rare experimental and competition lots, casual public cuppings, and direct conversation with the baristas who roast and pour. The atmosphere is warm and local rather than austere, with outdoor seating when the weather allows and enough room to work. The roasting side is not decoration either: the house talks about thousands of mornings of continuous roasting behind the coffees it lists as new arrivals and classics.

Cinnamon bun first, then something sweet

Food is part of the argument rather than an afterthought. The warm cinnamon bun is the clearest named bake, joined by gourmet cheesecakes and artisanal vegan treats from an in-house pastry programme, and a scratch-made brunch menu extends the kitchen well past pastry. Gluten-free treats broaden the case further. A practical order is easy to picture: a single-origin espresso or manual brew, then a cinnamon bun, a cheesecake or a vegan sweet depending on what the counter is showing. In 2025 the roastery was recognised in the European Coffee Trip Awards. What sets it apart in Vilnius is the way roasting, pastry, brunch and coffee education sit inside one café rather than being split across separate businesses.

Frequently asked questions

What should I order at TASTE MAP COFFEE ROASTERS?

A single-origin coffee as espresso or manual brew, since the house roasts everything it pours and the list spans El Salvador, Brazil, Ethiopia, Kenya, Colombia, Guatemala, Rwanda, Tanzania, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru and Mexico. Pair it with the warm cinnamon bun, or a gourmet cheesecake or vegan treat from the in-house pastry programme.

What is the Sensory Room?

An interactive space at the flagship café-roastery where rare experimental and competition lots are poured, casual public cuppings are held, and guests can talk directly with the baristas who roast and serve. It fits the house line that coffee is a fruit and so is knowledge, and it sits alongside the everyday espresso and manual brew service.
