The pastry case and coffee bar here share an address with a bar and a formal dining room, all inside a French-inspired 1928 building run by Walter and Margarita Manzke. That changes what the order feels like. Bread, pastry and coffee belong to the same kitchen that later turns toward dinner service, so the counter is the public face of something larger rather than a standalone bake shop.

The 1928 room does the work

The building is the reason the daytime visit carries more weight than a grab-and-go stop. It is polished and French-leaning, but still a working public room, with the noise of people ordering coffee, pastry and lunch instead of waiting on a special-occasion meal. Later the same space changes register when the dining room takes over. Treat the two as different venues that happen to share a roof, and use the one you actually came for.
