Why go
Turkish coffee out of a cezve
The cup that defines this Grapevine counter is made in a cezve, the long-handled pot in which very finely ground coffee is simmered with water and sugar added to taste. It arrives unfiltered, so the grounds settle and the texture stays dense and velvety. The programme leans on single origins from Turkey, Ethiopia and Brazil, roasted toward a medium-dark profile for the richer cup the style asks for.
Around it sits a familiar specialty menu. Lattes, cappuccinos and cortados cover the espresso side, so the bar works equally for a guest who wants the traditional preparation and one who wants milk coffee. Filter drinkers get pour-over through V60, Chemex or AeroPress, again built on single origins.
The first Pax & Beneficia café to roast its own
The café opened in March 2024 and carries a particular role inside the company: it is the first Texas location where the brand brought roasting in-house. That shifts the story from a multi-site café group to a bean-to-cup operation, with roasting used to control bean selection, roast profile and consistency across the bar.
The room reflects the Grapevine Mills rhythm it sits in, taking commuters in the morning, shoppers at midday and families later on. Warm wood, exposed brick and industrial lighting set the base, with Turkish-inspired details layered over it: patterned tiles, ceramic vases and textile rugs. Seating splits between indoor tables and bar stools beside the coffee counter, so some guests watch drinks being made while others take theirs and go.
Start with the cezve, then work outward
Order the Turkish coffee first. It is the drink that expresses the café's niche most directly, a traditional cezve preparation handled inside a modern specialty programme, and since the beans are roasted here it is also the clearest read on the house roast. Anyone unsure about the unfiltered texture can follow it with a cortado.
From there the menu opens up. Tea drinkers have loose-leaf Earl Grey, chamomile and green tea, plus turmeric-infused blends and matcha whisked Japanese-style with a chasen. The signature and seasonal side of the board runs to the Lavender Honey Latte, Spiced Chai Cold Brew, Turkish Coffee Latte and, in season, Pumpkin Spice Turkish Coffee, all of which read as variations on the same Turkish-coffee centre rather than departures from it.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Turkish coffee at Pax & Beneficia like?
It is made in a cezve, the long-handled pot used to simmer very finely ground coffee with water, with sugar added to taste. The cup is served unfiltered, so the grounds settle at the bottom and the texture stays dense and velvety, built on single origins roasted toward a medium-dark profile.
Does the Grapevine café roast its own coffee?
Yes. This is the first Texas location where Pax & Beneficia brought roasting in-house, which lets the team control bean selection, roast profile and consistency across the bar. Single origins from Turkey, Ethiopia and Brazil run through the Turkish coffee, the espresso drinks and the pour-over options.
