A brew bar at the foot of six floors

The specialty coffee bar is the way into OCTO Tower, but the building keeps going above it: six floors near Klovska metro in central Kyiv holding a brew bar, coworking space, a lecture hall, a shop, a gallery and a cocktail bar. Coffee is the anchor and the reason most people come in, so the brew bar is where to start, asking what is being served through it that day.

Coffee education is part of the house identity rather than an add-on, which means the team is used to being asked about brewing method and origin.

A Soviet modernist building, restored

OCTO Tower occupies an old Soviet modernist communication building associated with the Alexandrivska Hospital complex, converted in 2020. It is a restoration and adaptive-reuse project rather than a café fitted into a neutral storefront, and the architecture is a large part of why people work their way up through it.

Each floor changes the register: coffee low down, work and lectures above, then retail, gallery space and, later in the day, cocktails. A visit can be ten minutes or a whole afternoon depending on how far up you go.

What to ask for

Order from the brew bar first and let the team steer the choice; with an education programme attached to the house, recommendations tend to arrive with an explanation. The specialty coffee bar is the clearest part of the drinks programme, and the rest of the building, gallery, coworking, retail and the cocktail bar, belongs to the same visit.

OCTO Tower was also named in European Coffee Trip's 2025 awards, so the coffee stands on its own terms and not only on the architecture around it.
