The coffee is roaster-led, with beans sourced from roasteries in Amsterdam, Kyiv and further afield, an unusual pairing for Lisbon and part of what gives the place its character. The concept is built for staying: reading, studying, conversation and informal meetings rather than a quick-service coffee stop. The food is described in more detail than the drinks. The categories run through drinks, brunch, toasts, croissants, salads, desserts and food, which places the kitchen firmly in breakfast-and-brunch territory rather than at a pastry counter, and gives the plate the same weight as the cup.

One named breakfast plate combines toasted bread, homemade granola, creamy yogurt, fruit and honey, with a vegan version available, and it is a good measure of the kitchen: familiar components assembled into something substantial. Beyond it sit toasts, croissants, salads, cakes and desserts. Syrnyky, the Ukrainian cheese pancakes, are the item that stands out, and they connect directly to the languages spoken behind the counter. Between the granola plate, the toasts and the pancakes, a long sitting here is easy to justify.
