Why go
Coffee at Great Falls Creamery is part of a much wider counter: ice cream, bakery, candy, dairy and deli all in one room. The house blend is the named coffee, poured alongside espresso drinks, and it feeds straight back into dessert through affogatos and the Creamery Special hot chocolate, finished with fresh whipped cream.
Espresso beside the ice cream
The drinks list is dairy-forward by design. Coffee, teas and espresso drinks sit in the same assortment as the scoops, which is why the crossover items are where the shop is most itself: an affogato, a shake, a root beer float. It is not a specialty-café program and does not try to be one.
That crossover works in both directions. Coffee can be the reason for the visit or the finish to it, and the same counter that hands over an espresso will hand over a cone thirty seconds later.
A family shop on the Village Green
The creamery opened in 2014 as the newest ice cream shop in town and has stayed a family business since. It sits on the Village Green, with indoor and outdoor seating and a walking path for eating a cone on the move, and the owners set it up as somewhere to make yourself at home, hoping local businesses would use it for meetings. During the summer concerts on the green, the line has run out of the door.
Service is counter service throughout. Ice cream, bakery items, dairy, candy, coffee, espresso and deli food are all ordered at the same place, which is what makes it work as a neighborhood stop rather than a restaurant.
Order the affogato, then look at the bake
The affogato is the clearest way to see how the coffee and the ice cream connect. From there the menu opens quickly: 24 craft flavors with seasonal rotations, cups, cones, sundaes, splits and shakes, plus the signature Moo Blend, blended with any toppings and finished with fresh whipped cream. Hard scoops, soft serve, milkshakes and floats all run alongside, with flavors such as mint chocolate chip, moose tracks, dulce de leche and cherry jubilee.
The bakery case is substantial too: cookies by the piece or the dozen, pies, cakes, brownies, blondies, fresh baguettes and other breads, baked in store several times a day. Savory options run to seasonal soups, sandwiches on that bread, and toasted bagels with cream cheese. The dairy shelves bring in glass-bottled milk from South Mountain Creamery, yogurt, cream cheeses and several Amish cheeses, with candy, pretzels and other local goods filling out the rest.

Frequently asked questions
What is Great Falls Creamery known for?
Ice cream first: 24 craft flavors with seasonal rotations, plus the signature Moo Blend. Coffee runs beside it as a house blend with espresso drinks, affogatos and the Creamery Special hot chocolate, and the bakery case adds pies, cakes, brownies, blondies and fresh baguettes.
What should I order first?
The affogato, because it is the item that links the coffee and the ice cream sides of the counter. After that, work through the scoops, the Moo Blend, or the bakery case, which is baked in store several times a day.
