There is no roastery behind it and no producer named on the board. What the room offers instead is reliability: a cup regulars come back for, and a juice that turns a takeaway breakfast into something closer to a meal.

An independent West Cape May room

Golden Stop sits in West Cape May rather than in the busier visitor blocks near the promenade, which gives it a more local rhythm than the shops on the main tourist run. It belongs to no chain and is attached to no hotel.

Ownership changed in 2026, when the café was bought by someone who had worked behind a nearby Cape May coffee counter, and a second Golden Stop is planned in North Cape May. That is a business growing out of its own staff rather than a franchise arriving from elsewhere, and it fits the scale of the room.
