Three drinks and three things to eat. El Cafecito is a small resort coffee counter and its list is short enough to read in one pass. It sits inside ATELIER Playa Mujeres, on the continental stretch of Isla Mujeres north of Cancún, as part of the resort's dining lineup rather than as a standalone coffee bar.

Iced latte, americano, chai

The drinks are familiar rather than technical. The iced vanilla latte is the cold, sweet, milk-based option and the one the counter leans on. The americano is the espresso-forward choice for anyone who wants coffee without syrup or milk, and it comes out hot and direct. The chai is the named non-coffee drink, spiced and made to order rather than drawn from a long tea list.

Food follows the same light structure. A fresh-baked cookie covers the quick sweet snack, sweet morning bread suits the first coffee of the day, and a panini is there when the stop needs to be more than a drink.

A pause inside the resort

Approach it as a pause point rather than a destination. Drinks are made to order at the counter by a barista, service is casual, and the whole exchange takes a few minutes. It works as a coffee before the day starts, an iced drink once the heat sets in, a chai when coffee is not what you want, or a panini when a drink needs food beside it.
