Café Wien belongs to Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol, a five-star-superior hotel standing on its own at 1,300 metres in the Tyrolean mountains near Seefeld in Tirol. That setting decides most of what the cafe is. This is not a neighbourhood address but part of a large, secluded property whose identity is mountain panorama, summer and winter sport, and a wellness operation of more than 5,400 square metres with a panorama pool and saunas. Food and drink sit inside that world, alongside the hotel's restaurants and bars, its chef's table and its Sunday brunch.
