Mango juice by day, wine by night

Bobcat Wine & Coffee House does two jobs under one name. Through the day it is a coffee house in Vaitape: coffee, tea, fresh juice and something light to eat, with fresh mango juice the drink most often named. In the evening the same room turns towards wine, craft beer and bistro cooking. That double life is what makes it unusual among Bora Bora's coffee stops, most of which pick one register and stay in it.

Vaitape's all-day room

The setting is Vaitape, the main settlement on Bora Bora, which makes Bobcat a practical stop rather than a resort experience: it is where you go for a coffee break between errands, or for a glass at the end of the day. It is an independent local business rather than part of a chain, and the food is filed as international, which fits the bistro-and-brewery framing better than a pastry counter would. Nobody is claiming a roastery here. The coffee is a coffee break, and the strength of the place is the range of things one room can be.

How to use it

In the daytime, order the fresh mango juice; it is the most specific thing on the menu and the one drink consistently attached to the place. Coffee or tea covers the same slot if you want something hot. Later, treat it as a wine bar with a kitchen: wine, craft beer and bistro plates, eaten where you drank coffee earlier. Come with the right expectation and it works well; come expecting a specialist coffee bar and it will not.
